Morality Question:Should Convicts be given a chance to fight in Iraq rather than risking your sons & daughters?

“Red Queen” asked a similar question last week to “mixed reviews”. I thought that the Question should be asked again, by one who has had a personal stake and experience in the matter. I see no logical reason why Convicts should not be given the chance to fight, since many of us are good at fighting and/or are trained killers already. Why waste tax dollars to exact a “retribution” that affects most of us not a whit? Are you telling me that you’d rather see your wife, husband, son, or daughter die, rather than some Convict?
