Do the Mass Effect books spoil Mass Effect 2 at all?

I just read Revelation and I am guessing I can read Ascension because it was released before Mass Effect 2 but Retribution and Redemption. I want to avoid any sort of spoilers for Mass Effect 2 since I have not played it yet.
